Erasmus+ is the EU’s programme 2021-2027 for youth and youth workers to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of \u20ac26.2 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train, gain experience, and volunteer abroad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

YOUTH EXCHANGES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overview<\/strong>
Youth exchanges allow groups of young people from different countries to meet, live together and work on shared projects for short periods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Youth exchanges<\/strong>
take place outside the school environment. On a youth exchange, you can expect to participate in activities such as workshops, exercises, debates, role-plays, outdoor activities and more. Participants’ learning experiences are recognised through a Youthpass<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration<\/strong>
Youth exchanges last between 5 and 21 days<\/strong>. This excludes travelling time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions<\/strong>
Youth exchanges are open to people between the ages of 13 and 30<\/strong>. To be a group leader in a youth exchange, you must be at least 18 years-old<\/strong>.
Youth exchanges are managed by youth organisations, informal groups of young people<\/a>or other organisations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Financial support<\/strong>
The EU grant supports travel as well as practical and activity-related costs necessary for the exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to apply<\/strong>
To participate in a youth exchange, you cannot apply directly for a grant as an individual<\/strong>. Applications must be made by an organisation or a group of young people<\/a>who in turn select who will participate in the exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NETWORKING AND TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Overview<\/strong>
Erasmus+ supports the professional development of youth workers through training or networking periods abroad.
Periods abroad can consist of training courses, study visits, job shadowing or observation periods at relevant organisations and more..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Duration<\/strong>
Youth workers’ mobility must last a between 2 days <\/strong>and 2 months<\/strong>. This excludes travelling time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conditions<\/strong>
To go abroad with Erasmus+ as a youth worker, your organisation must be part of a youth mobility project<\/a> with another institution or organisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
