About the Project
“Link to the Hope” is an Erasmus+ Partnership Building Activity (PBA) that brings together youth workers, NGOs, and organizations from 9 countries to establish long-term collaborations in supporting refugee youth and young migrants, particularly those affected by conflicts in Palestine and other war-affected regions.
This project provides a platform for organizations working in youth inclusion, education, and empowerment to exchange best practices, develop new Erasmus+ projects, and strengthen cooperation to better support war-affected youth.
Goals
- 🏗 Build sustainable partnerships among organizations supporting refugee youth and migrants.
- 📝 Develop Erasmus+ project proposals focused on the inclusion, education, and empowerment of refugee youth.
- 🤝 Promote European values such as solidarity, human dignity, equality, and intercultural dialogue.
- 🎓 Strengthen the capacity of youth workers and NGOs to address refugee and war-affected youth’s complex needs, including mental health support and cultural integration.
- 🌍 Raise awareness about the impact of conflicts on youth and develop meaningful projects to support their future opportunities in Europe and beyond.
Planned Outcomes
✅ At least 3–4 detailed Erasmus+ project proposals will be developed by the end of the PBA.
✅ Creation of long-term partnerships among participating NGOs.
✅ Increased capacity of youth workers and organizations in working with refugee and migrant youth.
✅ Promotion of intercultural education, mental health support, and inclusion through sports, arts, and culture.
✅ Development of follow-up action plans for sustained collaboration and future Erasmus+ applications.
✅ Youthpass certificates for participants to document their competencies and learning outcomes.
Who Can Participate?
🔹 Participants: 4 representatives per country
🔹 Eligible countries: Latvia, Palestine, Jordan, Georgia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Germany
🔹 Profile of participants:
- Must be members of partner organizations (youth workers, activists, or volunteers).
- Interested in refugee inclusion, youth empowerment, and Erasmus+ project development.
- Responsible for implementing the expected outcomes of the PBA, including developing partnership strategies and cooperation plans.
- Preferably involved in strategic development or international collaboration in youth work.
- Must be 18+ years old (no upper age limit).
Accommodation & Logistics
🏨 Participants will be hosted at Airport Hotel Mara, located 2 km from Riga International Airport and 7 km from Riga Old Town. Accommodation is in shared twin rooms (2 people per room).
🍽 Meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) will be provided throughout the project. Participants with special dietary needs should inform organizers in advance.
Travel & Reimbursement
✈ Arrival Date: March 3, 2025
✈ Departure Date: March 8, 2025
🌍 Participants can arrive up to 2 days before or leave up to 2 days after the project at their own expense.
💰 Travel costs are covered 100% up to the following limits per participant:
- Palestine, Jordan, Georgia, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Finland, Germany: €285–395
- Latvia: €56 (green travel)
📌 Travel reimbursements will be processed only after full participation in the project, submission of original tickets/boarding passes, and completion of the evaluation form.
