The Erasmus+ project “LAONA FOR YOUTH, YOUTH FOR LAONA” aims to promote eco-responsible behaviour, active citizenship, and initiative among young people. An international youth exchange will take place in the region of Laona, Cyprus, providing an opportunity for young participants from diverse cultural and social backgrounds to experience non-formal and informal learning in an intercultural environment.

PROJECT AIMS:

Raising Awareness of Climate Crisis: The main goal of the youth exchange is to make participants more aware of the urgent climate crisis and its significant impact on the planet’s biodiversity. They will explore the complexities of climate change and its effects on the flora and fauna in Laona, a region of ecological importance.

Activism and Networking for Solutions: Through interactive workshops and discussions facilitated by professionals, the youth exchange will encourage participants to address local and broader environmental challenges in their own countries. Young individuals will collaborate to find potential solutions through activism and networking.

Inspiring Behavioral Changes: Through non-formal educational activities, the participants will reflect on their own behaviours and consider making positive changes, both individually and within their communities, to promote sustainable practices.
